Reporting to     Manufacturing Engineers

Summary:

The role presents an opportunity for a suitable candidate to gain a Modern Apprenticeship with a mechanical manufacturing engineering background. Successful candidates will receive all necessary training required to have a prosperous career within a CNC machining environment. You will learn vital skills on how to manufacture critical machined components using a range of cutting tools and techniques for a range of different industries.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Minimum of 4 National 5 awards( technology, computing, maths are advantageous but not necessary)

• Willingness to learn and carry out instructions

• Ability to travel to East Kilbride throughout 1st year for off the job college training at EKGTA

• Starting salary of £11,000 rising after each year

• Day-shift (Monday – Friday)

• Modern Apprenticeship awarded after 4-years’ experience and completion of coursework

• Candidates will have opportunity to be put forward for HNC on completion of NC
