Key to successful machining is being able to program the machine, therefore Ritchie has invested in software (GibbsCAM) to maximise output in both quality and efficiency.  In addition, and in order to validate the tool path motion and the material removal process including detecting errors or areas of inefficiency, all programs are tested using Vericut software.

Comprehensive dimensional CMM inspection, coupled with Gauge R&R analysis, shows that CNC machining sizes can be held, part after part, to micron tolerances. In addition the manufacturing and QC areas at the Hutton facility, are temperature controlled to ±1 °C.
